We are a family owned and operated business located in Northern Michigan, operating under the name Carrie's Creations Inc. The business was started by a life-long stitcher who created a website devoted to her love of stitching in 1998, offering free charts to download and cross stitching advice. Soon after, she started selling cross stitching supplies online, starting first with charts only. Business was good, so Carrie wanted to increase the size of her inventory. When the opportunity came to purchase the contents of one of the largest independent needlework shops in the US, which had been in business for over 25 years, she and her husband jumped at the chance. Carrie had always dreamed of owning a needlework store, and that dream became a reality. The couple later bought out two other needlework stores that were closing due to the owners' retirement. In order to give you the best service with the lowest possible prices, we do not publish a printed catalog - it would simply become out of date so quickly. Instead, all of our products are sold online, which means you can place an order any time of day or night. If you need to contact us, please use one of the methods used below. A few photos from our store:
Over the years we have found that some of our best selling items end up becoming discontinued by the manufacturer. We try to maintain a large stock of items, but if you see a product that you are interested in and there are limited quantities available, please know that it is possible it could sell out and not become available again. The most recent items that we are no longer able to order are: Pres-On Foam mounting boards, select colors of DMC Linen Floss, Charles Craft 28 count Linen in Tea and Cream, Charles Craft 14 count Smoketone Aida, round plastic frames from Janlynn (used for Christmas ornaments), select John James needles, and select colors of Mill Hill seed beads. (The mounting boards without foam are still being manufactured). Items that we are having a hard time ordering are: Select colors of Charles Craft fabrics in the clear tube packaging. It appears that since Charles Craft was purchased by DMC, they have discontinued many of the colors of fabric. The ones that are still being produced are becoming very hard for our distributors to get in stock. We are also having a hard time getting in the 18 count Aida by the bolt from MCG Textiles.
